We start at Denver CO through London or Amsterdam or Frankfurt depending on Airline, and come back to Denver.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and driven to Kampala City for familiarization and rest. Have a bonus welcome tour of Bulange the Seat of the Buganda Kingdom and Kasubi Royal Tombs, the burial Place for the Buganda Royals.
Day 2: After breakfast leave Kampala for central Uganda driving through the famous Luwero triangle and then Masindi town, arriving in Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon. Have a picnic lunch at the spectacular site known as the top of the falls and here you will view the beauty of the river Nile perfected. This takes the whole of the afternoon. Dine and stay overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Early morning game drive via the Nyamsika Plateau, here you will have a chance to view elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hartbeests and a host of other wild animals and this takes the entire morning. In the afternoon after lunch, proceed for a boat ride on the placid Victoria Nile upstream to the very base of the roaring Murchison falls! En route you will see hippos, yawning crocodiles, waterbucks and a variety of birds. The boat stops just a few meters from spot known as the “Devil’s Cauldron” . This is an ideal spot for taking photographs of the majestic Falls. This takes the entire afternoon/evening allowing you to return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Drive to Fort Portal town via Hoima town a seat for the Bunyoro Kingdom one of the oldest kingdoms in Uganda. This is a whole day’s journey through the country side and you will see a whole range of traditional homesteads and cultivations going on. Dine and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 5: Search for Chimpanzees and 10 other primates in Kibale National Park. These include I’hoestes, red Colubus monkey, Blue, red tailed and grey magabeys, all types of Monkeys. This takes a whole day and lunch is packed and taken along. In the evening return to Ndali Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Early Morning start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the scenic Rwenzori Mountain ranges for most of the journey. A long the way you will be rewarded with sights of lions, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes hyenas etc. Reaching there in time for lunch. After lunch enjoy a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel into lake Edward. Here you will see hoppos blowing the waters and many other animals drinking water at the edges of the lake. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The bird life is colourful and stupendous within the range of 500 species. Dine and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7: We have two game drives, one in the morning and another one in the afternoon just to give our customers a real feel of game viewing and see what this park really has to offer. Dine and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Depart early morning after your breakfast to Maramagambo Forest and this forest will definitely leave you awed with its captivating features which include lakes and animals. Visitors can walk through the tropical forest have a glimpse of primates including chimpanzees. Visit the bat Caves and the blue lake, the only one of its kind.
Day 9: Then move on to kisoro to see the gorillas the highlight of our trip.
Set out for Kampala in the afternoon.
